History has a way of connecting us to people, places and events far beyond our own experiences. War Footprints is my way of exploring those connections and sharing the stories I discover along the way.

I'm Katie — World War Historian, militaria collector and 1940s re-enactor. My passion for history takes me from researching the First and Second World Wars to visiting battlefields, exploring historic locations, collecting military artefacts and experiencing the past through living history.

War Footprints also gives me the opportunity to explore British and local history, discovering the stories hidden within familiar landscapes and bringing greater attention to the people and events that shaped them.

Above all, I want to share my enthusiasm for history, encourage others to discover more about the past and help preserve the stories that might otherwise be forgotten. Because history isn't just about what happened; it's about the people behind it and the legacy they leave behind.
